There's a layer of every LLM application that has been treated as a side concern, and is in fact load-bearing. The harness — the executable scaffolding around the model — determines whether an AI feature works or doesn't. Most of them have been assembled by accident, prompt-by-prompt under deadline pressure.
Product teams aren't staffed for LLM-specific systems work.
The teams that ship AI features in product environments are usually staffed for product engineering, not for LLM-specific systems work. The harness is the kind of thing that benefits from someone who's spent years thinking specifically about how to make systems hold up under conditions they weren't quite designed for.

How we work
Three principles
we don't compromise on.
Engagement-shaped, not platform-shaped.
We deliver harnesses, eval sets, and methodology as concrete artifacts that go into your codebase. There's no dashboard you log into, no SaaS to integrate, no vendor lock-in to worry about. The artifacts are yours. If you stop working with us, the value doesn't disappear.
Bandwidth-limited by design.
We work with a small number of engagements at a time so each one gets real attention. If we don't have capacity, we say so on the call and we tell you when we will. The audit-first model lets us be honest about whether we can help before either side has invested much.
Privacy and data handling.
We work with your traces in your environment whenever possible. We sign whatever data processing agreement your legal team needs. We don't train models on your data, sell it, or use it for any customer other than you. This is in the contract.
How every engagement starts
The audit is two weeksand fifteen thousand dollars.
If we don't find at least three things to fix in your harness, you don't pay. The audit is also how every Progressical engagement starts. Rebuild and operations follow from it.
